Inaugural Virtual Aftermarket eForum™ Rated "Very Worthwhile"
BETHESDA, MD – Oct. 1, 2009 – Attendees of the first-ever Virtual Aftermarket eForum™, held on Sept. 30, rated the inaugural online experience and content “very worthwhile.” Keynote presentations were broadcast throughout the day by Jay Yanko of Edgenet, Jonathan Ressler of Brand Noise Reduction Laboratory, Inc., Stephen Smith of GCommerce and Max Buchanan of Datalliance. The presentations were followed by live Q&A with the presenters and later by online scheduled chats.
“Our managers and their support staff (and even the owners) thought this was a high-quality event in regards to both presentation content and speaker excellence,” said eForum attendee Scott O’Toole, Motor-State Distributing. “As you know, breaking away while in the office to attend an all-day event in your own building can be quite the challenge. But everyone who met this internal challenge thought that this event was definitely worth their time to attend.”
Gold event sponsors Activant Solutions and Autologue Computer Systems were joined by seven other corporate exhibitors in the industry’s first virtual trade show. Attendees browsed the exhibits, chatted with booth reps and downloaded presentations and brochures into their virtual event bags between presentations in the auditorium.
“There was a shared online experience in the aftermarket that day,” said Scott Luckett, chairman, eForum Planning Committee and AAIA vice president, technology standards. “Attendees exchanged private greetings and chats with friends and colleagues online. At the same time groups and teams were gathered in conference rooms across the country, sharing the experience and discussing the material presented.”
The Virtual Aftermarket eForum™ continues for another six months in an on-demand format. Beginning Friday, Oct. 2, the presentations, virtual trade show and all of the rich content from the Resource Center are available to registered attendees on-demand. Those who missed the “live day” can still register and access the conference from www.aftermarketeforum.com.
