AAIA Cooking Up Energy-Packed Town Hall at AAPEX

Because breakfast is the most important meal of the day, the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) is cooking up an energy-packed meal and panel discussion for the more than 1,000 attendees expected at this year's Town Hall breakfast program, sponsored by NASCAR Performance. Town Hall will be held at 7 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev. It traditionally sells out early and individuals are encouraged to purchase tickets soon at www.aftermarket.org.

A VIP panel representing the manufacturing and repair channels and noted oil and industry analysts will tackle the issue of how energy costs are impacting the aftermarket. Economic and consumer behavior trends and aftermarket industry reaction will be analyzed. Kathleen Schmatz, AAIA president and CEO, will moderate the Town Hall panel, which will include:

  • Tom Kloza, Chief Oil Analyst, Oil Price Information Service
  • Frank Ordonez, President of Aftermarket Operations, Delphi Corporation
  • David Portalatin, Director of Industry Analysis, The NPD Group, Inc.
  • Tony Zanders, President, Heritage Auto Repair and Chair, Car Care Professionals Network (CCPN)

To fuel industry executives for a hectic AAPEX day, AAIA will serve up:

  • 4,000 eggs
  • 120 pounds of sausage
  • 165 pounds of bacon
  • 325 pounds of potatoes
  • 75 pounds of mushrooms
  • 30 pounds of cheese
  • 160 gallons of coffee
  • 140 gallons of orange juice

Tickets for the 2008 AAIA Town Hall are now available. Individual tickets are $90 and a table of 10 is $750. Click here to register.
