iShop Standards Online

iSHOP logo

The i·SHOP standards from AAIA are the result of a cooperative effort between providers of Shop Management, Diagnostic and Information systems.

i·SHOP Version 1 Update

i·SHOP-enabled equipment from a variety of suppliers was demonstrated at the AAPEX show in Las Vegas (October) and at the Hunter booth at NADA in New Orleans (January). The feedback from shop owner/operators has been very supportive. The time savings realized by implementing an i·SHOP environment is obvious, and many have already calculated their expected ROI with an i·SHOP enabled shop. A number of products are already i·SHOP certified and more are on the way in 2002. A Marketing Subcommittee has been formed to insure the word about i·SHOP is spread in a consistent and accurate manner.

i·SHOP Version 2 Update

Even as i·SHOP Version 1 enabled products are hitting the streets, Version 2 is being defined. This will further enhance the abilities of shop equipment and management systems by allowing shops to order parts online, allow the diagnostic results to be transferred using XML technology, and will enable non-PC applications to share their important diagnostic results on the i·SHOP network. Currently teams are working to define and implement these standards. It is strongly encouraged that interested companies GET INVOLVED NOW to insure your needs are accounted for in this critical development phase!

I•SHOP Demonstration a Big Success at AAPEX 2001!

I•SHOP-enabled equipment from Alldata, Baymaster, Hunter, John Bean, Snap-On/Sun and SPX was demonstrated at the AAPEX show in Las Vegas. Visitors were able to see working equipment in a “virtual shop” environment, so they could see first-hand the benefits of i•SHOP. The response was incredible!

Hunter Engineering will be demonstrating i•SHOP utilizing a Shop Management system, Hunter Wheel Alignment and Inspection Lane equipment, and Alldata Repair and Parts information. Come see it in action in booth #2249!
